Movie director John Schultz was the first drummer for The Connells.  He was replaced before the band began recording by Peele Wimberley who was the drummer for most of the career of The Connells (until 2004). His first film was the movie Bandwagon which not only included many anectodes loosely related to his time in The Connells but also starred Doug MacMillan as Linus Tate.
