From our friend, Christie Thomas:

I went to the July 4th show. It was good...if a little rocky at first.
The stage was a bit small and Mike and David were kind of on
top of each other. I was off to the left of the stage so I couldn't
see everything, but evidently Doug was having a few issues
because he made some remarks about 'his own personal train
wreck.' But they played a long set, took a crowd request, turned
down a few and over-all, the mood was good.

They chatted briefly after the show, but not long. Previously
Mike had said the deal they were trying to work out with
Rykodisc had kind of fallen through because the person they
had been dealing with wasn't with the company anymore, so
they're working on accquring their library on their own. He said
they've been working on songs but getting everybody together
to record is hard.

The Pour House Show
The show at The Pour House on 12/22/06 was absolutely packed.
It was one of the largest crowds there in the past year.  Mike
was in solid form and the band overall was pretty tight. The
band seemed very happy to be there with everyone smiling.

The band seemed to have enjoyed the crowd, interacting and
talking to the crowd. Lots of band family members in the
audience as well as original drummer and Bandwagon director
John Shultz. Doug did have some problems with his
microphone as he had to change it.  Even that did not sour
anyone's mood.  Doug's comment about the guy up front being
the "first person to play air guitar to the Adjective Song" got a
huge laugh from the crowd.

The band played a good long set!  Adjective Song has been
reworked with a great riff that got a great crowd response.

The opening band "The Saving Graces" was also good.

A good night for all Connells fans!

Peele Wimberley was also at the 12/22 show. He has a band in
LA called LAMPS. They have a
myspace site at so check them
out.
